USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Use of our services
When you register through our website for one of our services (HR services, including placement, recruitment and selection, staffing, payroll, secondment, salary administration, and personnel management, hereinafter: the Services), we ask you to provide personal information. This information is used to provide these services. The data is stored on our own secure servers or those of a third party.
Recording and processing of data
In the context of the provision of services, Select stores data in its database for use by Select and third parties mentioned in this Privacy Statement.
We record or can record the following data:
Furthermore, data is generated automatically. You can read more about this data later in this Privacy Statement. We collect data in accordance with legislation and for legitimate (business) interests to:
Disclosure to third parties
Select may share your personal data with other Select entities, its clients, subcontractors (e.g., data processors) who provide services or carry out assignments on its behalf, and government agencies. This also applies in all other cases where we may be required to do so, for example, by a court order or court ruling. Where necessary, Select will enter into a Data Processing Agreement with third parties.
Access to the data other than by provision
Under certain conditions, Select grants access to third parties, being paying clients, so that the Select database can be searched for suitable candidates using a limited amount of personal data. These clients include employers, recruiters, recruitment and selection managers, headhunters, HR professionals, etc. You can delete your CV from the database at any time if you no longer wish to receive it.
Select uses automatically generated data for statistical purposes and for the security and improvement of Select. This data is provided to third parties only if it is fully anonymized and cannot be traced back to you. Except in the cases mentioned in this Privacy Statement, Select will not provide your personal data to third parties without your prior consent.
Special or sensitive personal data
Select only collects special or sensitive personal data (as defined in the GDPR) with your consent or when legally obliged to do so (e.g. wage garnishment).
At Select, we consider internally who this personal data is relevant to. Your photo can be voluntarily incorporated into our (own) system so that you can be identified internally. You can have your photo removed at any time. Select also uses links to search engines for recruitment and selection purposes.
RETENTION POLICY
Retention periods
The retention periods we use depend on the applicable statutory retention periods.
Select is a temporary employment agency that wants to help you find (new) work. Within this legitimate interest, your (general) employment information (name, address, CV, education, work experience, etc.) will be available for up to five years after the last contact, provided you have not worked for Select (in the meantime). After that period, you will no longer be contacted or placed by Select.
If you work for us or have worked for us in the past, all your personal data will be available for up to five years after your employment ends. We do this so we can help you find (subsequent) employment.
If you no longer wish to be contacted or mediated, you can inform us by email. You will then no longer be contacted or mediated by Select. Your personal data will then be deleted, unless legal deadlines restrict the immediate deletion of personal data specified in the law. This applies to certain personal data for purposes such as claims, audits, and tax obligations. Your personal data will always be available to Select only under strict conditions, in accordance with the applicable purposes, deadlines, or for which we have received permission.
To reduce administrative burden, we have supplemented the temporary employment contract with personal data that matches the payroll tax form, specifically to determine the payroll tax credit. This extends the tax retention period for, among other things, the Citizen Service Number (BSN) to 7 years.
Purposes
We do not collect and/or use information for purposes other than the purposes described in this Privacy Statement unless we have obtained your prior consent.
Third parties
The information will not be shared with third parties, except as stated in this Privacy Statement. In some cases, the information may be shared internally. Our employees are obligated to respect the confidentiality of your data.
