CNC Turner/Miller (Heidenhain)

Summary

Are you an experienced CNC Turner or Miller who enjoys working on medium to large one-off workpieces? In this role, you will independently perform milling and boring operations on CNC machines across various projects, ranging from maritime assignments to international clients. You will work from technical drawings and coordinate closely with the Foreman or Production Planner. With your expertise, you will improve work methods and ensure the final product meets quality standards. We require a minimum of 2 years of experience, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, knowledge of dimensional, form, and surface tolerances, and an understanding of material behavior during machining. The position requires working in a two-shift system.

Description

As a CNC Turner or Miller, 

• your daily tasks include preparing and operating a CNC milling and boring machine based on technical drawings, CNC programs, instruction sheets, tooling and setup sheets, and verbal instructions from the Foremen and/or Production Planner. 
• You will set up and measure tools and prepare CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.

Our client is a specialized steel construction, machining, and piping company that carries out large-scale (heavy) construction work and maritime projects. Over the years, the company has built up extensive expertise and know-how in offshore work, ship repair, and new construction.

To demand

• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work accurately and independently.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with reading technical drawings and knowledge of dimensional, form, and surface tolerances.
• Experience with lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of material behavior during machining.
