Summary

Are you an experienced CNC lathe or miller who enjoys machining medium to large single-piece workpieces? In this role, you'll independently mill and chamfer on CNC machines on various projects, from maritime projects to international clients. You'll work from drawings and coordinate with the foreman or work planner. Your expertise will help you improve working methods and monitor the final results. We require at least two years of experience, ability to read drawings, knowledge of dimensional, shape, and sheet metal tolerances, and insight into material behavior during machining. You'll work in two shifts.

Description

As a CNC Turner or Milling Machine Operator, your daily tasks include the following:

  • Prepare and operate a CNC milling and boring machine based on drawings, CNC programs, instructions, tooling, clamping, and machining sheets, and verbal instructions from foremen and/or the work planner.
  • Setting up, measuring tools, and preparing CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Easily perform daily maintenance on machines and tools.

Our client is a specialized steel construction, machining, and piping company that carries out large-scale (heavy) construction work and maritime projects. Through years of experience, the company has built extensive expertise and know-how in offshore, ship repair, and new construction.

To demand

  • Sense of responsibility and ability to work accurately and independently.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with reading drawings and knowledge of size, shape, and plate tolerances.
  • Experience with lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge about the behaviour of different materials during machining.
  • Experience with Heidenhain and programming on the machine
